The London born designer attended NYU and after earning her art degree, always seemed destined for a high-profile fashion career. Along with siblings Mark, and Sam (former girlfriend of Lindsay Lohan), Charlotte was a part of the up and coming "hipster/socialites" scene of New York during the 90's. A Celebration of Style

Amy Winehouse, most famously known for her music and radical behavior, was found dead in her London flat. So we are celebrating the late star by reflecting on her fashion influence. From Paris Vogue to the runways, Amy was a style inspiration to many designers, stylists, and editors. In fact, even up and coming rapper Kreayshawn has drawn from Amy's repertoire.

We applaud you for you're amazing influence, Amy. Rest in peace.

Kim K SUES!

That's right. Kim Kardashian is sueing Old Navy! WHY?!

It's been reported by TMZ that Kim is sueing the retail chain for their recent hiring of Kim's doppelganger (amazing look alike- pictured above). She claims that the confusion between the REAL Kim and her look alike could effect the Kardashian endorsements.

Even more scandalous, Kim's freakishly good look alike is dating her ex!

Pippa Middleton was quite literally spotted wearing a blue and green polka dot dress while wandering around London on Friday. We're not too sure about the dot look? What do you think? Are polka dots too juvenile, or is this form fitting look very becoming for the new found celeb?

Caught Red...Soled?

Think red soled shoes, think Christian Louboutin, right? WRONG! Its recently been discovered that although the red sole look is inextricably linked to the Louboutin name, it is Valentino who originally produced the style.

Valentino's design partner Giancarlo Giametti proudly pointed out that Valentino introduced the red sole in 1969 AND 1983. This is long before Louboutin coined the style in 1992! LET THE BATTLE OF THE SOLES BEGIN!

Karl Lagerfeld for Macy's?!

It's true! And we couldn't be more excited! Karl Lagerfeld, arguably one of the worlds more influential style gurus and creative director of Chanel, has collaborated with Macy's to launch a limited edition women's apparel line. The collection will be in 235 Macy's retail locations, as well as online beginning August 31st. This new collection will feature dresses, airy tops (so in style), tees, jackets, modern tweeds, etc. With prices ranging from $50-$70, this new line is sure to attract thousands of women. This launch stands to be a huge fashion milestone, that introduces reasonable prices to high fashion.

The second look is meant for more of a lunch date, whether you're out with friends or family, this simple and elegant look is classic. The blue patterned Bebe dress, paired with nude Forever 21 pumps serves to be appropriate without being too outrages. So CUTE!






The third style is for a Romantic Night with your significant other. Perhaps a romantic dinner? This outfit is perfect! An adorable salmon colored sun dress with silver flairs! The dress stands to be the main centerpiece of this outfit, as the silver chunky necklace, and silver colored heels serve to soften the WOW factor.

Is it TRUE?

We all know the retail business can be a float or flop type of industry. However, Aeropostale seems to be flopping!
The style of the retail chain hasn't changed much since the start. The typical "prep" look is what sky rocketed their business in the early 2000's. But as time changes, so do styles. Aeropostale is now failing to reach their target audience, who have moved on from the typical, clean-cut look.
SO HERE'S THE BIG QUESTION:
Will Aeropostale innovate? Or cease to exist?!

One thing is for sure: Aero will never die at Gina's! So if you love your Aeropostale, rush right in for prices that CANNOT be found ANYWHERE else! =)

Is the Cowboy look back?

Although newly acclaimed Dutchess Kate Middleton has stunned her audiences with her chic wardrobe, many were puzzled to see her and Prince William sporting a "not so elegant" look while touring Canada.

The two were spotted in Cowboy-like attire while attending the Calgary Stampede; topped with matching creme colored cowboy hats.

While the Dutchess has an elegance about her, we have to wonder: Is she being playful, or is this style making a comback?

According to Diane Von Furstenberg, Kate Middleton is nothing of a style icon. Although many have assumed Kate to be the next big fashion mogul of our decade, Furstenberg has other things to say:

"She is not a style icon. She is so much more. She is so sure of who she is, and should never let go of that."

So we have it: Fashion is trends, but attitude and presence is a true mark of style. Keep up the good work Kate!
